Quick‑Read Summary

  2. No cross‑app or cross‑site advertising. FineTime is funded by your subscription, not tracking.

  3. Full control. Open Profile & Settings › Data & Privacy to export or delete your data.

  4. Sensors & uploads. Location, NFC, Camera, and optional user‑uploaded images or sounds are used to complete challenges and improve crash analytics; raw sensor data is discarded within minutes and never leaves your device.

  5. Map dots. A fuzzed dot (in or near your time‑zone) is shown to other users for up to 1 hour after an alarm outcome and then deleted.

  6. Premium model. Apple App‑Store subscription required; penalty payments flow through Stripe. Small Stripe fees plus a KILAM service fee are deducted and disclosed before you confirm beneficiaries.

  7. Payout timing. Penalties are batched at the start of the next calendar year and may be held for up to 24 months for dispute resolution; you’ll see paid‐out items in your in‑app history once processed.

  8. Tax caution. Don’t claim penalty payments as charitable donations until they actually leave our holding account.

  9. Platform availability. Currently iOS‑only; Android coming soon.

1 · Introduction

KILAM LLC (Texas, USA) owns the FineTime iOS application and https://finetime.app (collectively, the Service). FineTime motivates you to wake up on time by asking you to complete physical or cognitive challenges / tasks. If you fail, a pre‑authorised amount is sent to causes you select.

2 · Scope

  • FineTime iOS app (and future Android release) plus any other KILAM apps that link here.

  • finetime.app website and sub‑domains.

  • Support email, in‑app forums, and social channels.

3 · Definitions

  • Account details
    • E‑mail address and authentication token
    • Used to create and secure your account.
    • Legal basis: performance of our contract with you.

  • Subscription information
    • Apple receipt ID and subscription tier
    • Used to verify billing and manage refunds.
    • Legal basis: contract and legal obligation.

  • Penalty‑payment data
    • Stripe PaymentIntent IDs and amounts
    • Used to charge penalties and forward payouts.
    • Legal basis: contract.

  • Alarms and challenge logs
    • Alarm schedule, success or failure result, forfeited amount
    • Used to run core functionality and settle disputes.
    • Legal basis: contract.

  • Beneficiary preferences
    • Your chosen causes and split percentages
    • Used to route funds.
    • Legal basis: contract.

  • Fuzzed location dots
    • Obfuscated latitude and longitude plus timestamp (kept no longer than one hour)
    • Used to display the community wake/fail map.
    • Legal basis: legitimate interest.

  • User‑uploaded media
    • Custom alarm sounds or images from your camera roll
    • Used for customisation or to prove task completion.
    • Legal basis: your consent.

  • Usage diagnostics
    • Device type, OS version, crash dumps

    • Opt‑in flag and e‑mail address
    • Used only when you explicitly subscribe.

5 · Cookies and Website Tracking

  • We set essential first‑party cookies for load balancing, session management, and remembering your choices.

  • Optional analytics cookies load only after you grant consent via the banner.

  • We honour Do Not Track and Global Privacy Control signals.

6 · How Long We Keep Data

  • Map dots – deleted after 1 hour.

  • Raw sensor readings – stay on device and are discarded within minutes.

  • All other Personal Data – retained for up to 10 years, then erased or irreversibly anonymised.

7 · Who Sees Your Data

  • Service providers – Apple Inc. (subscriptions), Google LLC / Firebase (hosting and analytics), Invertase Ltd. (Stripe extension), Stripe Inc. (penalty payments). All are bound by written agreements.

  • Beneficiaries you select – receive only the details required for record‑keeping.

  • Authorities or buyers – only when required by law or during a corporate transaction.

  • We never sell Personal Data.

  • Production data is stored on Google Cloud / Firebase in US regions. International transfers follow EU/UK Standard Contractual Clauses where applicable.

8 · Penalty Payments and Payouts

  • Stripe processes each penalty and deducts its processing fee. A small additional service fee goes to KILAM; both fees are displayed before you confirm beneficiaries.

  • Contributions are batched and paid once per year at the start of the following calendar year. Funds may be held for up to 24 months to resolve disputes and may earn interest or be loaned during that period.

  • Amounts may be rounded to split evenly across multiple beneficiaries. If we cannot onboard a custom beneficiary and you have no fallback, KILAM retains the money as profit.

  • Completed payouts appear in your in‑app History.

  • Tax reminder: Don’t claim your penalties as charitable deductions until the money has actually been disbursed.

9 · Your Rights and Controls

  • Export – Profile & Settings → Data & Privacy → Export.

  • Delete – Profile & Settings → Data & Privacy → Delete Account.

  • Correct, restrict, or object – e‑mail support@kilam.llc.

  • Newsletter opt‑out – click “unsubscribe” in any mail.

  • We reply to verified requests within 30 days.

11 · Children

FineTime is intended for adults 18 years and older.

12 · Changes

We will announce material updates in‑app and via e‑mail at least seven days before they take effect.
